October, Freestyle Session |
| Connor
and Sam Neal arrived at Halifax for a Freestyle session, but had to wait
for the fog to clear. Gecko Flaka's were the move of the day... |

The Team photograph |
| The
weekend was a huge success with enough time to cover most of the subjects
the aspiring intermediate needs to know. The 2 day format ensured that the
usual Windsurfing Clinic 'curse' of no wind was cheated (on this occasion)
and that we all got individual tuition as well as learning as a group.
Iain comes highly recommended by the Halifax Crew
and can be contacted at info@southcoastwindsurfing.wanadoo.co.uk |

A great week, with not only windsurfing, but
snowboarding and climbing to make it fantastic |

GBR678: Those warm spring winds arrived 19th
March, unfortunately they were rather 'light'. This is my brother GBR679

gybing was slooooow |

The next day it got a
bit windier, so out with the Techno 170 Formula board... |

March the 12th, Force 3/4, wind
chill at around minus 7 Centigrade :- surely the winter season must end
and the warm spring winds would arrive soon |

| Halifax Sailing
Club: The last 2 weekends of February and early March.
There were some huge challenges facing the
dedicated windsurfer |
Getting to the top gate of the club was tough
enough |
The Land rover
eventually made it to the clubhouse on day two, although getting back out
to the road was 'fun'

|
The rigging area was lightly sprinkled with
snow... |
...the launch area required an icebreaker, and as
we didn't have one we turned to the snow... |
...the windswept slopes around the reservoir turned out to have some
use |

These are the slopes that the windsurfers go down
to start the heat, from 0 to Force 6 in 3 metres

As the show began, all
the competitors lined up and Peter hart introduced them.
