& 26 September, Saint Mary's Loch |
| Saturday:
What a venue, 15 miles from Moffatt, a great turnout for all the fleets
with a large number of Youths/Juniors swelling the numbers and the noise
levels. This was the final NEWS event of the year and on the Saturday
the Scottish National Championships were held. Wind conditions were
varying, so as usual the longboard/daggerboard fleets had the lions
share of the sailing.
The St Mary's Loch meeting is well
known for the 'craic' and this year was no exception with a fantastic
buffet dinner on the Saturday evening and a buffet lunch on Sunday
proving beyond doubt that Scottish hospitality is world class.
