2006

The Super 8 was a great event this year, with the wind showing up, albeit a bit on and off, making sure the Formula sailors got to race. The turn out was the best yet, with many T15'ers and parents taking part, probably racing in an event for the first time...

Thanks to Tushingham and Surfstore for the excellent prizes and of course David, Ian and Jim for their everlasting commitment to getting people on the water and racing

25 & 26 September, Saint Mary's Loch
Saturday: What a venue, 15 miles from Moffatt, a great turnout for all the fleets with a large number of Youths/Juniors swelling the numbers and the noise levels. This was the final NEWS event of the year and on the Saturday the Scottish National Championships were held. Wind conditions were varying, so as usual the longboard/daggerboard fleets had the lions share of the sailing.

The St Mary's Loch meeting is well known for the 'craic' and this year was no exception with a fantastic buffet dinner on the Saturday evening and a buffet lunch on Sunday proving beyond doubt that Scottish hospitality is world class.
