Halifax sailing Club at
the end of November 2007, raining freezing cold wind and great
windsurfing! |
In the 10% of time left
after race training Connor has been splitting his 'free' time trying to
crack the Vulcan, which he did in September. The cold water certainly
focuses the mind on staying on the board... |

2006, West Kirby Sam
Neal, who is sponsored by JP Boards and Neil Pryde Sails amongst others,
ran a Freestyle clinic at West Kirby for a group of 9 dedicated young
windsurfers. It was a crash and burn session with everyone pushing
themselves really hard to score new moves and push themselves to the
limit. Sam was constantly chasing everyone to tweak their attempts and by
the end of the day the competition was filled with sailors achieving
lots of new moves. Faye Neal was the expert photographer for the day. |

| Sunday 19th of November, 2006, Rhosneigr.
A massive wind was forecast as an enormous storm was circling the
British Isles. We arrived just before 9.00 a.m. and the wind was already
at a force 4 and increasing and by mid afternoon the wind was gusting
35-40 mph. Connor was sailing with Sam Neal (age 16) and Lecky Gayda
(age 13) and they were the first on the water. Dave Gayda also joined
the 3 boys on the water. By lunchtime there were stacks of windsurfers
on the water, but once the big winds arrived this number diminished and
the new school was left on the water with the 'hard core' sailors to
enjoy some survival sailing. |

October 8th
200, Rhosneigr. The day after Connor's 13th birthday he got to sail at
Rhosneigr in force 4/5 Cross shore winds and with the highest tide for
10 years there was little room on the beach for kit. The conditions were
perfect for the RRD Hard Core Wave XS, starting off on a 3.5 m Ezzy Wave
and moving up to a 4.5 m sail as the conditions got lighter. It was a
big day for jumps...and after Jem Hall's coaching session in Prasonisi,
Connor made the best of the conditions. |

Wittering Windsurfing Club, hosted by 2XS, June 4th 2006
Graham Ezzy, son of David Ezzy,
stopped off on his way to the PWA event in Guincho to spend time with
the Seasprite crew and West Wittering windsurfers to show off the new
2007 Ezzy sails. Unfortunately the wind didn't show, so we weren't able
to see Graham perform on the water, however a good day was had by all
going through sail fine tuning and Connor also benefited from a one to
one coaching session with Jem Hall.
