Hands On History 2003 The scenario: 12th June 1944. Outskirts of Carentan, Normandy. For six days Airborne troopers have been battering their way through Normandy. A forward rest and re-organisation area has been set up where the mis-dropped troopers can find their respective units. A crew of medics has arrived in their Dodge Ambulance and set up an aid station in an abandoned bunker. Supplies, landed at 'Utah' beach, are now arriving in the form of the three jeeps and a GMC truck full of rations and ammunition. Guarding the area is a .30 cal machinegun emplacement, a 60mm mortar and a M1A1 bazooka is ready to deal with any German tanks that come looking for trouble. Along with the troopers of the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions streaming through, elements of the 4th Infantry from Utah beach are arriving and a small group of rangers has fought their way here from Pointe du Hoc.
